Our church plant in Kapangalika needs urgent support with regards to the construction of a house of worship. Elliot Khembo who is overseeing the work there sent this e-mail regarding the same
The church in Kapangalika needs urgent support with regards to the construction of a house of worship. Elliot sent this e-mail regarding the same:
Please find attached the budget for the construction of the church structure at Kapangalika ARPC as we discussed when you were here. The budget has two sheets namely Kapangalika 1 and Kapangalika 2. The budget in Kapangalika 1 covers everything to the finishing point while the one in Kapangalika 2 only covers for the major areas of the project.

Please note that Kapangalika congregation has provided the needed bricks (about 12, 000-13,000). Men, though few have agreed to ferry sand and other construction materials to the site of the project.

Lord willing, we plan to get started once the Lord has provided the resources, probably before this month ends, thus before the beginning of the rain season. Please remember us in your prayers.
I have attached the budget for your perusal. Please take a look at it and prayerfully consider making a donation to help towards the requested amount of money (US $1,200) as the LORD leads you. The rains are about to start and the new building would make such a big difference to them. The wonderful thing is that the congregation has already provided the needed bricks. They are not asking for a hand-out but a hand-up. May the LORD provide according to His will.
The LORD is doing amazing in Kapangalika. The congregation is growing stronger and the people (as well as their leadership) are becoming more mature in the Lord. It was certainly a great joy to serve alongside them in September and to see first hand how they are all maturing and growing in the grace and the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
This young church is facing some challenges especially in the area of church discipline. Most of the disciplinary cases have to do with polygamy. But I praise the LORD God for the wisdom and courage that He has given to the local leaders as they try to grapple with this particular challenge. Please remember them in your prayers for continued wisdom and grace in dealing with such challenges as the work continues and grows. Thank you for your prayers and financial support. God bless!
