Dzuwa Classical Christian Academy

Informing the Mind; Transforming the Heart

Dzuwa Classical Christian Academy (DCCA), first opened its doors on September 8, 2014 with 37 students enrolled in Form 1 (9th Grade). Our goal is to add a grade with each passing year until we have a full fledged secondary (high) school comprising of Forms 1-4 (Grades 9-12). Currently, we have 36 students in Form 2 and 16 students in Form 1. The Form 1 class 24 students at the beginning of the academic year. Sadly, 8 students had to drop out mainly due to lack of finances. Even though we charge a nominal tuition fee (US $22 per term), many parents in the Dzuwa community are unable to support their children in school. Many of them (especially girls) end up dropping out of school and get married at a very young age.

Development Plans

Infrastructure: Currently we have two teacher houses, one classroom block and the office.

}  As the need for another classroom block arises, we will need to start construction work. We will need $40,000 for the school block.

}  We will also need $20,000 for two teacher houses.

}  A library/science laboratory structure will cost us $15,000 to construct.

}  Two hostels: for girls and boys we need $60,000.

}  Dining hall/kitchen $25,000

We Need Teachers: If you are a professional teacher and are interested to come and assist us the door is open. We are looking for missionary-minded teachers and they are not easy to find. We want DCCA to be an institution that impacts both the head and the heart.

Support a Teacher: You can support a teacher with $300/month.

Scholarships: It takes only $22 to pay for one student at DCCA per term, and $66 per year.
