THE HOLY SCRIPTURES   Scriptural Support
We believe that the Holy Scriptures of both the Old and New Testaments are God’s verbally inspired, inerrant and infallible Word. The Holy Scriptures were given by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and recorded by God’s appointed men as a supernatural revelation of God and His redemptive plan for mankind. We regard the Holy Scriptures as our only rule and authority regarding matters of faith and practice. The Canon of the Scriptures is full and complete. Nothing is to be added or removed from the Canon of Scripture as it is God’s Holy Word.   Proverbs 22:19-21; Luke 1:3-4; Romans 15:4, Matthew 4:4, 7, 10; Hebrews 1:1; 1 Corinthians 1:21; 1 Corinthians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Psalm 119:105, 130
We believe that there is only One God, who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father is the Creator of all. He is infinite, eternal, and unchangeable. The Son, Jesus Christ, is our Savior. He was born of the Virgin Mary. He lived among us as a man, but He was without sin. He died and rose from the dead on the third day. Now, He is exalted and He sits at the right hand of God the Father. He shall come again as a Judge at God’s appointed time. The Holy Spirit lives within us. He is a Divine Being and rules and reigns together with the Father and the Son.   Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:4-6; Job 11:7-9; John 4:24; Luke 24:39; 1 John 5:7; Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Daniel 7:13; John 12:26; John 14:1-3; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Corinthians 15:52; 1 Thessalonians 4:17; 1 Thessalonians 5:10; Revelation 11:12
We believe that all men have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. Man is totally depraved and alienated from the Holy God, Yahweh. Under the reign of sin and death, man is incapable of doing good and is subject to God’s just wrath. Therefore, man needs a Savior, the Man Jesus Christ who died on the Cross for the atonement of our sins. Man’s salvation is free, only by Grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Those who receive Christ as their Lord and Savior are saved forever to eternal life with God, but those who deny Him, are condemned forever to eternal destruction in hell.   Genesis 3:8, 10, 24; Isaiah 53:6; Lamentations 3:39; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12, 19; Ephesians 2:2-3; Galatians 3:10
We believe that when a man or a woman is saved and becomes a Christian, he/she has to live a holy life, which he/she is equipped to do by the Holy Spirit. He/She is also “saved to serve” and in gratitude to God (e.g. Rom. 12:1) should seek to please God and serve Him. The life of the believer must be directed by:

1) The Holy Word of God. 2) The example of Jesus Christ through His life and death on the Cross. 3) The conviction of the Holy Spirit in his daily life. Man has been given access to God’s throne for the cleansing and forgiveness of confessed sin. Every believer must take it upon him/herself to carry the Word of God to the lost world in obedience to the Great Commission and must seek to live a fruitful life through Christian service to the glory of God the Father in Heaven.

  Genesis 1:27-30; Exodus 20:1-17; Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 10:45; Mark 12:29-31; John 13:1-20; John 13:16-19
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ rose again from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures and that He was taken up to heaven where He is seated at the right hand of God the Father as our Great High Priest and Advocate before the Father.

We believe that all men and women (just and unjust) will be resurrected upon Christ’s return. The just will be given renewed bodies and resurrected unto eternal life. The unjust will be resurrected unto eternal condemnation in hell along with the devil and all his angels.

  Psalm 16:10; 1 Corinthians 15; Mark 16:19; Ephesians 1:20; Acts 2:24-27; John 10:18; Romans 8:34; Hebrews 9:12, 24; Daniel 12:3; Matthew 13:43; Romans 2:7; Romans 8:21; 1 Corinthians 15:50; Galatians 6:8
We believe that the devil exists as a personal being and that he is constantly working to steal, kill and destroy the souls of men and women. Hell is his eternal destiny and all who are bound by his chains will be eternally condemned along with all of his angels.   Genesis 3:1-7; 1 Chronicles 21:1; Job 1:6-9, 12; Job 2:1-7; Zechariah 3:1-2; Matthew 4:10; Matthew 25:41; Luke 13:16; Luke 22:3, 31; Ephesians 6:10; 1 Thessalonians 2:18; 1 Peter 5:8
We believe that the Church is the body of believers, saved and united together by the blood of her Head, Jesus Christ, as a visible manifestation of the Kingdom of God here on earth. The Church exists to worship God, edify the body of believers and to be a witness to the lost world.   Ephesians 1:10, 22-23; Ephesians 5:23, 27, 32; Colossians 1:18; Matthew 13:47; Isaiah 9:7; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Psalm 2:8; Revelation 7:9; Romans 15:9-12
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ instituted and gave to His Church only two sacraments, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion). These sacraments are only to be administered by the Church.   Genesis 17:7-8, Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 10:16; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Galatians 3:27; Mark 1:4; Romans 6:3-4
We subscribe to both the Westminster Standards (Westminster Confession of Faith, the Westminster Larger Catechism and the Westminster Shorter Catechism) as well as the Three Forms of Unity. In these confessions are contained fuller and more detailed expositions of our Statement of Faith and a faithful summary of the doctrines contained in the Bible.
